Parking in Debrecen: how to park quickly and easily at the apartments
Our apartments don't have their own car park, but public parking spaces are available not far from the apartments. We'd like to give you a little help with that.
Parking zones are marked with colour codes. Moving outward from the city centre, the colour codes are as follows: red, orange, green. The blue zone covers the area around the Nagyerdő (Great Forest park), and the yellow zone is the Klinika car park, with reduced rates. The zones are indicated on the ticket machine.
VárLak Apartment: parking
Red zone (zone code: 4031). In this zone you can park for a maximum of 3 hours with a parking ticket; day tickets are not available here. It's worth parking here while you check in and check out. After that, for longer stays, it's best to leave the car in the orange or green zone, which are also not far from the apartment.
Orange zone (code: 4032). Here you can also buy a day ticket (pass) from the machine, for the price of 4 hours of parking (2,320 Ft). This pass is valid on the day of purchase in all on-street parking spaces except the red zone.
Green zone (code: 4033). Here parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. You can also buy a day pass, which is valid in the lower-tier zones as well.
Forest and Sky Apartments: parking
Green zone (code: 4033). Here parking is free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. You can also buy a day pass, which is valid in the lower-tier zones as well.
Kardos Apartment: parking
Street parking in front of the building is free.
Zones in the area:
Blue zone (zone code: 4034). Covers the area around the Nagyerdő park: Nagyerdei körút from the University of Debrecen to the roundabout, Pallagi út from the roundabout to Vigadó tér, and Ady Endre út from the Kölcsey Centre to the junction with Nagyerdei körút. No separate pass can be bought for the blue zone; passes bought for the Centrum, Orange and Green zones are valid here.
Yellow zone (zone code: 4035). Covers the Klinika car park on Pallagi út, between the Aquaticum roundabout and Móricz Zsigmond utca. No separate pass can be bought for the yellow zone; passes bought for the Centrum, Orange and Green zones are valid here.
Buying tickets
You can buy tickets or passes at the machines with cash or a bank card. You get a 10% discount on a pass if you buy it using the QR code on the machine.
