Getting to Debrecen: how to reach our apartment quickly and easily

Debrecen is easy to reach from anywhere in Hungary and from abroad. Here's how to get to the city as quickly and simply as possible, and from there to our apartment.

By car

From Budapest, the journey takes about two hours on the M35 motorway. The city centre is easy to reach, and before you arrive we'll be happy to give you precise information about parking options at our apartments.

By train

Debrecen is a major railway hub: fast, direct InterCity trains run regularly from Budapest. From the railway station, the city centre is a short tram ride or walk away.

By plane

Debrecen International Airport has connections to several European cities and is only a few kilometres from the city centre, ideal if you are arriving from abroad.

Getting around: tram and walking

Trams 1 and 2 are the quickest way to get around the city, linking the railway station, the city centre and the Nagyerdő (Great Forest park). Most of our city centre apartments are also easy to reach on foot.
